The Romans planted the vines and built the city, hence the name Romane. From a 0. 81 hectare parcel of vines planted in 1957 at a higher altitude of Chassagne, protected from the north wind by a stand of trees. Aged 15 months in 228 and 350 L oak barrels, 35% new.
